5.18 Ministerial Housing Allowance

Policy

In accordance with IRS ruling 70-549, employees qualifying as ministers may apply for the Ministerial Housing Allowance. Declaration for the Ministerial Housing Allowance must be completed and returned no later than September 30 of each year for allowance during the following calendar year. Employees must complete a declaration for the housing allowance and have it presented to the Board of Trustees for approval at the annual October meeting. Questions should be directed to the Human Resources Office and the employee’s financial advisor.
