Determination for benefits is based on projected work time in each full year of services from the employment starting date. Full-time employment is defined as 37.5 or more hours per week for 52 weeks per year, unless otherwise stipulated in an employment contract. For purposes of determining full-time status for benefit consideration, the following are considered work time: vacation, holiday, sick, personal and approved leaves of absence. For non-exempt, hourly employees, Rochester University determines annual salary by multiplying the hourly rate by 2080. Any benefits indicating annual salary are calculated as such.
