THL 5033 Foundations of Christian Apologetics
This course provides a graduate-level study of Christian apologetics, equipping students to articulate, defend, and commend the Christian faith within contemporary cultural, philosophical, and theological contexts. Students explore key historical and contemporary apologetic methodologies—including classical, evidential, presuppositional, and cultural approaches—while addressing major objections to Christian belief such as the problem of evil, science and faith, historical reliability of scripture, and religious pluralism. Emphasis is placed on integrating intellectual rigor with pastoral grace, preparing practitioners for effective, contextualized engagement in ministry, leadership, and public discourse
