Graduate Handbook 2023-2024

Admission Requirements

The minimum graduate admission requirements are:

  1. A completed application for graduate admission.
  2. An earned bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited U.S. college or university or an equivalent degree from a non-U.S. institution.
  3. Official transcript(s) in English (or translated to English) from all previous university work. Unofficial transcripts are acceptable for application review, but official transcripts are required for admission. Students that have yet to complete a baccalaureate degree may submit a current (in-progress) transcript now and a final transcript showing degree conferral upon graduation.
  4. A minimum cumulative undergraduate grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is required for Unconditional Admission. Conditional Admission status may be granted to an applicant on a case-by-case basis with a cumulative undergraduate grade point average below 3.0.
  5. Program-specific requirements as stated for each graduate program. Individual graduate programs may have higher standards or additional requirements for admission to their programs. Admission decisions are made by the individual graduate program’s admission committee or by program directors.
