Advising and Registration
For Rochester University Graduate Program students, the academic advisor is the chair or program director of the Graduate Program or Graduate Program faculty. Advisors are the primary source of assistance to students in planning their academic program, registering for courses, seeking advice, and dealing with problems as they arise. The academic advisor(s) may or may not be the advisor/instructor for the thesis or capstone project. If the advisor leaves their positions with the college through retirement or change of position, another advisor will be appointed. It is the responsibility of the student to maintain contact with the advisor.
Faculty will make every effort to help students but cannot be expected to be responsible for problems not brought to their attention in a timely manner.
