Internships and Clinical Practicums
Experiential learning, such as internships and clinical practicums, require a minimum of 83 hours for each credit awarded (approximately 250 hours per 3 credit practicum). Graduate program students should expect to have 10-16 hours onsite with their internship or clinical preceptor each week. The learning objectives and academic requirements are set by the course faculty and internship/clinical site preceptor. The expectation is that students earn credits based on the number of hours required on-site.
