7.3 All Employee Email Distribution

Purpose

To establish a policy regarding appropriate content to be distributed to all employees via the allemployees@rc.edu account.

Policy

Rochester University has established the allemployees@rc.edu account to simplify the process for sending an email that pertains to all regular employees of Rochester University. The account is intended to be for business use only. All emails sent to the account are moderated by the Human Resources office. HR reserves the right to deny emails sent to all employees if the email does not adhere to this policy.

Examples of Appropriate Content

  • Emails related to RC events (Partnership dinner, golf outing, Celebration, etc.)
  • Emails regarding business operations (benefits, organizational changes, etc.)
  • Prayer requests for college personnel and immediate family members

Examples of Inappropriate Content

  • Solicitation emails
  • For sale items
  • Emails related to non-RC sponsored events
