14.2 Honorary Employee Designation

Purpose

To provide a system for honoring long-term college employees.

Policy

• Upon retirement of an individual who has completed a minimum of twenty years of service to the college, that individual is named an honorary employee.
• Honorary employees are given a wallet-sized card to identify them as an honorary employee.
• Honorary employees are eligible for the same discounts applicable to regular employees, including tuition discounts, Campus Store Discounts, and discounts on admission fees to games and performances.
• Administrative personnel and faculty members may also receive emeritus designation if so selected.
