MCM 2035 Digital Audio Concepts
In this course, you will learn what happens inside a radio station, and gain hands-on experience running an audio board, learning speech techniques, playing music, and running commercials seamlessly. This course focuses on generating media content via digital audio programs and devices. Digital audio boards and an audio delivery system will be used to create and record audio programs. A digital audio editing system will be utilized to edit commercials and audio promos. You will learn to handle DJ shifts, anchor newscasts, and manage the business of a radio station, along with the legal requirements of a radio show, such as documenting your work and the importance of playing commercials. Broadcast remotes and writing exercises introduced in Fundamentals of Radio will continue in this course. Great emphasis will be placed on ethics and general best practices for effectively promoting a station and your own personal brand via social media platforms.
