Public Administration, BS
The Bachelor of Science in Public Administration prepares students to work in a variety of operational roles in the public and non-profit sectors. Students will learn the fundamentals of federal, state, and local government administration. Successful graduates will be ready to contribute immediately to local governments, nonprofits, and the public service sector. This program also provides students with an excellent foundation for graduate work in Public Administration or Public Policy.
The Public Administration program prepares graduates with a blend of business fundamentals and the study of public administration, including a range of topics such as health, social science, history, and other domains that will provide students with important context for their work.
Graduates of the Bachelor of Business Science, Public Administration program will be able to:
- Explain the function of administration in federal, state, and local government.
- Synthesize data and an understanding of government to make policy and administrative proposals as well as evaluate the impact of implemented policy.
- Explain and perform the necessary steps required to implement policy decisions at the local, state, or national level.
