EDU 3271 Ethics and Culture Field Experience
An immersion field experience designed to build cross-cultural understanding and competence. Study of diversity from a community perspective and the interrelationship of cultural influences and school success. Examines the development of dispositions and effective characteristics necessary to teaching in cross-cultural environments. Two-week intensive field placement required. Students must make certain prior to the commencement of the semester in which Ethics and Culture in Education is taken that personal issues, such as employment schedules, do not interfere with the completion of this compulsory requirement of the Teacher Education Program during the following summer.
