Cohort and Shared Cohort Model
Some of RCU’s graduate programs are cohort-based programs with cohorts of various sizes. The cohort-based program utilizes a learning model in which each cohort consists of students who start their graduate program together and take the majority, if not all, of their classes together. In addition to the cohort model, some programs are specifically designed to use a shared cohort model, which consists of two cohorts enrolled in the same course. The shared cohort model encourages greater opportunity for mentor-mentee relationships within the cohort and course community, and it enables students to build a larger and stronger network with other students outside their immediate cohort.
