PSY 6243 Ethical and Legal Issues in Psychological Practice
This course is focused on the ethical and legal considerations in the practice of Clinical Psychology. Emphasis is placed on exploring and discussing major areas of ethics that includes cultural competence, malpractice, legal responsibilities, boundaries, and the identity and role of psychologists in practice. The use of the APA Ethical Principles of Psychologists and Code of Conduct will be the foundation for developing an ethical attitude and awareness of potential ethical dilemmas.
