PSY 5133 Adult Psychopathology

This course examines the process, problems and issues in the development of psychological and  emotional disorders in adulthood and into the aging process. The fundamental diagnostic  categories of the DSM-5 will be utilized in the beginning of conceptually understanding adult  disorders. In addition, this course will explore the social, environmental, contextual, and  political issues in assessing, diagnosing, and categorizing adult human experience.
