PSY 3063 Principles of Neuroscience
This course is designed to provide preparation for graduate level study of neuroscience in health-related fields. Students will be instructed on the neurobiology of behavior, where the effects of the brain, nerve cells, and genes on behavior will be discussed. Students should gain a thorough understanding of neuroanatomy, electrical properties of neurons, synaptic transmission, and the neural basis of cognition and perception. Students will also be provided with basic understanding of several neurodegenerative diseases, neural-related injury, and neural development. PR: PSY 2013.
