16.4 Parking and Vehicle Violations

Purpose

This policy establishes campus procedures for managing traffic and parking violations and associated fines.

Policy

Issuance of parking tickets and traffic violations will be managed by the Operations Department. Tickets may be issued by security, Student Development personnel or other campus personnel observing such violations.

Vehicle Violations may be contended within three workdays of violation issuance. To contend a violation, students should contact the Director of Operations. The Operations Department will then obtain all the relevant facts and render a decision.

Vehicle violations will result in a $30.00 fine for each infraction (standard collections procedures apply). Other disciplinary actions, such as loss of campus driving privileges, may result if appropriate.
