Independent Study Courses

Instructors may sometimes offer courses through independent study. These courses do not meet with a class, but they do include regular meetings with the instructor. Independent study courses do not fulfill general education requirements unless approved by the appropriate dean or director. To be eligible for independent studies, students must be meeting satisfactory academic progress (SAP), must be enrolled in their second or subsequent term, and must receive permission from the instructor and the appropriate director or dean.
