EDS 3113 Learning and Associated Disabilities

Introduces teacher candidates to the lifespan characteristics of individuals with learning disabilities, including academic, functional, and social characteristics. Explores the causes and identifiable markers of learning disabilities and commonly associated disabilities. Provides historical perspectives, current issues, and legislation related to the field of special education. Describes Universal Design for Learning and current service delivery systems.
