SMG 3633 Interscholastic Athletic Administration
This course will help students develop a thorough understanding of the specific responsibilities and competencies associated with interscholastic athletic administration. This course will cover various aspects of athletic administration at the middle school and high school levels including the following: professional foundations, personnel management, student-athlete development, program management, contest management, event marketing and fundraising, athletic budgeting, and implementation of emergency action plans. Students successfully completing this course will be eligible to receive Registered Athletic Administrator certification through the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association after they earn a bachelor’s degree.
