The physiological basis of human behaviors and mental processes. A biological approach to understanding human behavior includes the study of biological events at the genetic, neural, and endocrine levels that are the foundation for thinking, emotions, and behavior. Focus is on the biological basis and processes found in human emotional responses, mental psychopathology, sexual behaviors, memory, consciousness, sensory perceptional processes, thought and language, and neurological disorders.
