Track Options for an On-Campus Mass Communication Major
The track requirement is waived for transfer students who have completed an approved associate degree or certificate in a Mass Communication field. Specs@LTU: RU mass communication students can fulfill their RU mass communication track by spending a calendar year at Specs@LTU in Southfield, MI, in one of the following: Broadcast Media Arts, Digital Media Arts, or Graphic Communications. Instructor approval is required, and conditions apply.
Broadcast Media Arts Track 29 hours
A Broadcast Media Arts Track is available through Specs@LTU.
Digital Media Arts Track 29 hours
A Digital Media Arts Track is available through Specs@LTU.
Film Production Track 29 hours
A film production track is credited to students who have completed the Motion Picture Production program at the Motion Picture Institute (MPI) prior to starting at Rochester University.
Graphic Communications Track 29 hours
A Graphic Communications Track is available through Specs@LTU.
Integrated Media Track 30 hours
Electives 19 - 20 hours
Taking an 18-hour minor is recommended or several micro-credentials is recommended.
