Residence Halls
Barbier Hall
This hall is a two-story building located north of the Ferndale and Hoggatt Hall. It houses both male and female students. Rooms are carpeted and furnished with beds, wardrobes, desks, chairs, chest of drawers, and hutches. Each room has Wi-Fi access. Each floor has a community bathroom.
Ferndale Hall
This women’s residence hall offers suite-style living with private baths and Wi-Fi access in each room. All rooms are furnished with tile flooring, wardrobes, dressers, beds, desks, and chairs. Cable is also available. Residents may use Ferndale’s central kitchen and the laundry facilities in Dearborn Commons.
Gatewood Hall
This residence hall offers suite-style living with private baths and Wi-Fi access in each room. It houses both male and female students. All rooms are furnished with beds, wardrobes or closets, dressers, desks with hutches, and chairs. Cable is also available. Each floor has a laundry room and kitchenette area. The offices of
Shield Media, Rochester University’s student magazine, are located in the basement of Gatewood Hall.
Hoggatt Hall
This men’s residence hall offers suite-style living with private baths and Wi-Fi access in each room. All rooms are furnished with tile flooring, beds, wardrobes, dressers, desks, and chairs. Cable is also available. Residents who live in Hoggatt Hall are also permitted to use Hoggatt’s central kitchen and the laundry facilities in Dearborn Commons.
Palmer Hall
Available on a limited basis to students 26 years and older or married students, each room features carpeting, a private bath, a walk-in closet, an outside entrance, a cable hookup, and Wi-Fi access. Some rooms include a kitchenette area.
