MAT 1003 Beginning Algebra

Review properties of real numbers and arithmetic; algebraic properties; linear equations and inequalities; graphing linear equations, functions, and inequalities; equations of lines; 2x2 systems of linear equations and inequalities, exponents and polynomials; factoring; introduction to quadratic equations and functions; and applications. May include an introduction to rational expressions and functions. Required for students with an SAT Math score of 400-510, ACT Math score of 16-21, or Accuplacer QRAS score of 225-249. Students may earn up to 6 hours of elective credit for developmental courses taken at Rochester University. Course fee.
