MAT 1003 Beginning Algebra
Review properties of real numbers and arithmetic; algebraic properties; linear equations and ineqaulities; graphing linear equations, functions, and inequalities; equations of lines; 2x2 systems of linear equations and inequalities, exponents and polynomials; factoring; introduction to quadradic equations and functions; and applications. May include an introduction to rational expressions and functions. Required if Math ACT is 21 or below, SAT Math score is 520 or below, or Accuplacer math score is 48 - 108. Students may earn up to 6 hours of elective credit for developmental courses taken at Rochester College.
