BIB 4193 History and Theology of the Old Testament

An exploration of history and theology in dynamic relationship within the Old Testament. Examines various theological perspectives within the Old Testament in light of the historical background and crisis which offer a concrete context for their development. Includes a contextual-ideological approach to reading the Old Testament that focuses on the socioeconomic, political, religious, and community aspects of diverse theological views that form and reform across the long history represented in the Old Testament.
